“look everyone, i’m famous!”<\/p>\n

frank is two years old, and while he\u2019s super cute, he\u2019s also a sturdy little guy!<\/p>\n

when my girlfriend suggested getting a chihuahua, i wasn\u2019t sure as i\u2019ve been used to big dogs my whole life.\u00a0 after some persuading, i went along to meet a litter of chihuahuas that a trusted local breeder<\/a> <\/strong>had advertised for sale.<\/p>\n

as soon as we walked in, frank walked up confidently to me and looked me straight in the eye.\u00a0 the breeder said \u201che likes you\u201d and she encouraged me to pick him up.\u00a0 from that moment on, i was a chihuahua guy!<\/p>\n

here are a few things frank loves\u2026<\/p>\n

frank\u2019s love of chicken<\/b><\/p>\n

he was tiny when we got him at 11 weeks old\u2013 just 10 ounces!\u00a0 now he weighs in at a healthy 6lbs, with not a bit a fat on him.\u00a0 what\u2019s his secret? well, I think it must have something to do with his diet\u2026<\/p>\n

we had trouble finding something that he liked at first.\u00a0 he didn\u2019t like the beef kibble we bought him, or the wet lamb food we tried.\u00a0 the only thing he seemed to like were the webbox chicken chips<\/strong> treats we gave him.\u00a0 then we tried chicken breast and he lapped it up \u2013 then we knew the problem \u2013 frank was all about the chicken!<\/p>\n

after we discovered frank\u2019s undying love of chicken, we started to experiment with ways to convince our little dude to vary his diet a little bit.\u00a0 the secret with frank is to cover his kibble in chicken broth.\u00a0 we made sure we stirred it in well so that the kibble tasted of fresh, high-quality poultry.<\/p>\n

frank loves kids<\/b><\/p>\n

i\u2019ve read a lot of stuff on the internet that says chihuahuas aren\u2019t great with kids.\u00a0 but we now have a one-year-old baby boy and frank absolutely adores him!\u00a0 frank is gentle and loving with our newer arrival, but it helps that our baby doesn\u2019t pull his tail or act rough in any way.<\/p>\n

frank seems to know his boundaries and will move quickly out of the way whenever toys fly towards him.\u00a0 we\u2019re always careful to make sure there\u2019s always someone to supervise when they\u2019re together, though.\u00a0 thankfully, frank\u2019s nothing like the angry chihuahua \u2018arrested\u2019 by police<\/strong><\/a> recently!<\/p>\n

frank loves the sun<\/b><\/p>\n

we don\u2019t get much sun here in rainy old london.\u00a0 but when we do, frank loves to bathe in it!\u00a0 whenever frank sees the sun shining through the window in the morning, he\u2019ll be itching to get outside.\u00a0 he doesn\u2019t usually like being on the leash, but he brings it to me in bed whenever we have even the slightest bit of morning sunshine!<\/p>\n
