enclosure and started mauling the girl.<\/p>\n<p>fortunately, the family dog, a small chihuahua named honey was there to distract the pit bull temporarily until the pit bull&#8217;s owner was able to restrain the dog before tragedy occurred.\u00a0 the young girl will need hours of surgery to repair her wounds, but her grandmother says that it could have been much worse if honey the chihuahua
